About the Job
Carmello's is looking for a Host or Hostess for weekend nights on our patio/bar/bistro Monza.
Duties:
- Being the guests first and last great impression by professionally welcoming guests with a smile and enthusiasm upon their arrival and thanking them on their departure.
- Proficiency in OpenTable reservation system is a plus. Must be able to take reservations, assign servers to tables, etc.
- Answering the phone using the proper procedures.
- Determining level of business to determining whether guests can dine that do not have reservations "walk-ins".
- Maintaining cleanliness of foyer at all times.
- Maintaining restroom checks.
- Informing kitchen and management of any unexpected large parties or any problems in general.
- Taking guest's coat during colder months.
- Re-staging tables before guests sit down with polished silverware in correct spots, menus, telling them about any specials there may be.
- Adhering to strict dress code regulations.
Requirements:
- Restaurant experience is preferred.
