Carmello's is seeking to hire a Kitchen Manager. In this role, you will manage the restaurant kitchen teams. Our ideal candidates have 2+ years of full service Restaurant Kitchen Manager or Shift Leader experience in a fast paced-environment. They are self-disciplined with strong leadership and time management skills and have a friendly and outgoing personality.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of prior experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
- Fine dining experience a plus.
- Must be able to take direction from the owner and the general manager.
- Working knowledge of controlling inventory, food costs, labor costs.
- Creativity in writing menus - must be able to create interesting and innovative menus for daily specials.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Flexible hours.
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Must be willing and able to develop team members at all levels.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Spanish a plus.
- Candidates who live within 20 minutes of Manassas City preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Bi-weekly inventories.
- Ordering of food and supplies.
- Works with the GM to Interview, hire, and schedule kitchen staff.
- Promotes a team atmosphere and works well as part of a team.
- Ability to simultaneously expedite tickets and execute the line.
- Ensure consistent quality of taste and presentation for all dishes served.
- VA health department standards.
