Carmello's is seeking to hire a Kitchen Manager. In this role, you will manage the restaurant kitchen teams. Our ideal candidates have 2+ years of full service Restaurant Kitchen Manager or Shift Leader experience in a fast paced-environment. They are self-disciplined with strong leadership and time management skills and have a friendly and outgoing personality.

Requirements:

2+ years of prior experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
Fine dining experience a plus.
Must be able to take direction from the owner and the general manager.
Working knowledge of controlling inventory, food costs, labor costs.
Creativity in writing menus - must be able to create interesting and innovative menus for daily specials.
Self-motivated, reliable, and trustworthy.
Flexible hours.
Positive attitude, adaptability, and ability to meet deadlines.
Must be willing and able to develop team members at all levels.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Spanish a plus.
Candidates who live within 20 minutes of Manassas City preferred.

Responsibilities:

Bi-weekly inventories.
Ordering of food and supplies.
Works with the GM to Interview, hire, and schedule kitchen staff.
Promotes a team atmosphere and works well as part of a team.
Ability to simultaneously expedite tickets and execute the line.
Ensure consistent quality of taste and presentation for all dishes served.
VA health department standards.
